When will my card be billed?
All orders are processed by PayPal and are received by us the morning of the next business day at the latest. We transmit orders to the appropriate distributor shortly after we receive them. Orders are usually processed and shipped within 24 - 48 hours after they are received, as long as the items are in stock. The out of stock items are forwarded to another distributor for processing the following day and are usually shipped that day. Orders are not shipped the day the order is taken. Also, since we use several distributors, we do not know the availability of all items on a given day. However, since we have access to the supply of these distributors, we are able to fill most orders promptly.

Privacy Policy.
We do not sell, trade, loan, lease, or in any other way share your information with anyone except the proper authorities under due process. When submitting an order, you may be asked if you mind being contacted with information about other products or services. If you do not give your permision, you will not be contacted for anything other than necessary information regarding your order. If you give your permission, you may receive emails from us. Although granting permission reserves our right to solicit, we respect that right and have never sold, traded, loaned, leased or in any other way provided customer information to any 3rd parties.

It should be noted also, that in order to fulfill orders we may be required to give your information to 3rd parties such as the US Postal Service or UPS. Those companies are required to protect your information and privacy.

Contact someone about product questions.

For sanitary purposes, ALL SALES ARE FINAL.  When you receive your package, promptly check the items to make sure the items are working. We will credit or exchange only for DEFECTIVE items or for any shipping errors made by us. Please return the items in their original packaging within 30 days. Items returned without original packaging will NOT be refunded so please keep all packaging for the 30 day return period. If you have further questions or problems, please Contact Us.

If you do not follow all of the instructions on this page you may not be refunded at all or may incur a 25% restocking fee.

Without prior approval TLA, LLC does not reimburse for return shipping costs. Those shipping costs should not exceed the cost you paid for shipping. If you need a replacement immediately, call us, do not ship next day air and expect reimbursement for that.

If you feel the item was not as advertised, please go back to the page where the item is listed and make sure that you are correct. Then please email us with the webpage address and let us know what the page said and what you found to be different. We will refund you if the necessary information is missing, and we appreciate help to improve our site.

If a product has clear and correct size measurements, then we will NOT allow a return because of size. If the size is not listed on the page, we will accept a return if you provide us with detailed accurate measurements that we can add to the site.

In your return package please include:

  •    The packing slip
  •    A note telling us what the problem was
  •    A note stating whether you would like a refund or an exchange for another item.
  •    If you do not include a note, you may not be refunded!

Please allow up to 3 weeks to receive your replacement or refund.

Changes to an order already placed.
Your order is received and authorized against your credit card immediately. It reaches the distributor overnight and is entered into their automated system upon receipt.

Due to the volume of orders received, it is not possible to interrupt the process to make a change to your order at this point. It has already been authorized against your card and may have begun the packing process and/or may have shipped.

My credit card was charged but I have not received my order.
If a customer reports that their card has been charged when our records show it as a decline the customer MUST send a copy of the charge showing on their debit or credit statement along with a note of explanation and invoice number.

Package has been tampered with.
Our boxes are sealed shut. If you receive a package that looks like it has been opened and resealed, this means your order has been tampered with while in transit. If you like, you can refuse delivery from UPS and then contact us for refund or exchange. You may accept the package as it might be fine, but if not, we can still help you, but please understand that problems with that order are probably the fault of UPS and not us.

Order may be shipped from different locations.
We have multiple distributors so your order may be shipped in several packages depending on availability of items at a given distributor.

Your order is forwarded to the next warehouse in line until your complete order has shipped. You do not pay additional shipping if your order has to ship from more than one warehouse.

Orders are shipped using the Post Office (USPS) or UPS. Please not that we do not accept COD orders.

When does my order ship?
Your order will usually ship within 24 - 48 hours after you order the product, if the order is submitted Sunday through Thursday before our 8:30 pm Eastern Time deadline. The warehouses are closed on weekends and do not ship. UPS does not deliver on weekends. Also, UPS does not guarantee delivery around holidays, and in the case of bad weather.

Please note that the time stated for shipping begins on the day the item actually ships, not the day you place an order.

For example, if you order an item on a Friday or a Saturday, the next business day (with the exception of a Monday Holiday) would be Monday.

In some cases, the item you order may be out of stock at the warehouse. We will forward to another warehouse as quickly as possible. This happens rarely, but due to fluctuating stock levels of popular products, we try to forward your order to the best warehouse best able to fulfill your order.

We cannot control delivery errors, especially if your address is not 100% complete and correct.

Order by Mail.
Print and fill out the order form. If you do not have a printer then you may copy the online form in clear and legible printing. Remember, if your order form can not be read, your order cannot be filled. In such an event your order form will be returned to you.

Do not send via Express Mail. Since express requires a signature, it may actually take us longer to get the order than if you send it via regular mail.

Your order will be shipped AFTER your check has cleared.

Order Online.

  1.    Add products to your shopping cart.
  2.    Click on the "View My Cart" button in the upper right of any page to see and edit the items in your cart, and when you are ready to check out.
  3.    Fill out your shipping address.
  4.    Fill out your credit card information through the secure online form.

Pay by check.
Print and fill out out our order form. If you do not have a printer you may copy the online form by hand. Print should be clear and legible otherwise your order may not be readable. Remember, if we can't read it we can't process it.


  •    Make check or money order payable to TLA, LLC
  •    The name The Local Artisan, LLC or TLA, LLC will show up on your bank statement. Products are shipped after the check has cleared.
  •    Orders paid for with postal or bank money orders and bank checks will be shipped within 2 days.
  •    Bounced checks will be billed your state's allotted fee (usually $15-$35)
